Usually, media reports are about states banning the sale of nicotine products. However, Kansas House Bill 2094, introduced on January 27, would allow for “the sale of electronic cigarettes in cigarette vending machines.”
The bill is sponsored by the House Federal and State Affairs Committee.
In 2015, Kansas state legislators passed HB 2109, which prohibited self-service displays of e-cigarette products or vending machines.
Cigarette vending machines in Kansas require a permit.
The Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (e-CFR) prohibits the sale of tobacco products in vending machines, according to the bill.
