The Cohiba Behike BHK 58 has finally arrived.
After years of speculation, Habanos S.A. has officially announced the launch of the Cohiba Behike BHK 58, a 7 inch (178mm) x 58 parejo size, also known as the Laguito No. 7. This marks the introduction of a new vitola in the Cuban cigar world.
As part of this release, Habanos S.A. will update the packaging for the original three BHK vitolas. All of them will now feature a foot band and NFT technology. Like the predecessors, the BHK 58 will be available in boxes containing 10 cigars.
This year, Habanos S.A. introduces the BHK 58 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Behike BHK brand. The Behike BHK line was first launched in 2010 to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Cohiba brand and has since become the flagship regular production line in the Cuban cigar market.
In Spain, where Cuban cigar prices are among the lowest globally, BHK cigars are priced between €230 and €320 each. Currently, there is no information regarding the pricing or the official launch date of the BHK 58. When the BHK line was first introduced, it was notable for its use of media tiempo leaves, a rarity in the Cuban cigar industry.
Medio tiempo leaves comprise less than 10 percent of the tobacco plant and are found at the highest part of the plant, above the ligero priming. Due to their elevated position, these leaves receive additional sunlight, resulting in a stronger flavor compared to other leaves.
