There is a new, bipartisan push to crack down on vaping and tobacco use among teens in the Tar Heel State.
A group of lawmakers say that today they will unveil a bill that raises the legal sales limit for nicotine products to 21 in order to bring state law in concert with federal law.
This new bill also aims to require a tobacco retail sales permit for any entity selling any style of nicotine products.
The bill would be called Solly’s law to honor a teenager who died after using nicotine products.
