Coles of London, the exclusive U.S. distributor of S.T. Dupont products, has announced price increases on select items due to newly imposed tariffs.

“As I am sure you are aware, the US Government recently imposed 20 percent tariffs on all goods made in China,” the company stated in a letter addressed to retailers, reports Halfwheel. “This does affect some S.T. Dupont product ranges and consequently we have had to increase prices on goods made in China (jet flame lighters, cigar cutters and ashtrays). Please note that all products made in France, including all Line 2 and Le Grand lighters, will not be subject to any price increase for the time being.”

Although the tariffs are set at 20 percent, the actual increases in MSRP are slightly lower, generally averaging around 17 percent. The updated starting prices for affected products are as follows:

  • S.T. Dupont Biggy – $495 (previously $425)
  • S.T. Dupont Slimmy – $395 ($350)
  • S.T. Dupont Twiggy – $395 ($350)
  • S.T. Dupont miniJet – $195 ($170)
  • S.T. Dupont maxiJet – $295 ($265)
  • S.T. Dupont megaJet – $285 ($265)

  • S.T. Dupont Double Blade Cutter – $275 ($235)
