Voting is now open for the InterTabac World Alternative Awards, which will once again recognize leading innovations in alternative nicotine and next-generation products (NGPs) at this year’s InterTabac and InterSupply trade fairs in Dortmund from September 18–20.
The awards, organized by Messe Dortmund in partnership with Alternative magazine publisher The Vaping Group, will be presented during a live ceremony on Friday, September 19.
Categories range from Best Heat-Not-Burn Product and Best Pod Systems to Best Nicotine Pouch, Best Innovation, and Best Newcomer.
Winners will be honored on stage, with the ceremony followed by an exclusive dinner and after-show party. Organizers said the awards offer both recognition and networking opportunities for manufacturers, distributors, and retailers in the global NGP sector.
Last year’s honorees included Elf Bar TURBO for Best Pod System, BOMBO for Best E-Liquid Range, VOOPOO for Best Alternative Product of the Year, and CLEW for Best Nicotine Pouch.
A press conference on September 18 at Messe Dortmund will accompany the fair, featuring speakers including Sabine Loos, Managing Director of Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe; Jan Mücke, CEO of the German Association of the Tobacco Industry and Next-Generation Products (BVTE); Horst Winkler, spokesperson of the German E-Cigarette Retailers’ Association (VdeH); Philip Drögemüller, Managing Director of the Alliance for Tobacco-Free Enjoyment (BfTG) and IEVA press coordinator; and John Dunne, Director General of the UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA).
