Haypp Group announced that Zyn nicotine pouches are now available for purchase online in the United States once again, marking a significant milestone for the category’s leading brand.
The products are now available on the company’s U.S. e-commerce sites Nicokick.com and Northerner.com. The current lineup includes 10 Zyn products that have received U.S. Food and Drug Administration marketing granted orders (MGO), offered in 3 mg and 6 mg strengths, with flavors such as cinnamon, spearmint, wintergreen, and citrus.
“Re-establishing Zyn online in the U.S. is being done with a clear focus on compliance and adult-only access,” said Peter Grafström, president of Haypp Group U.S. “Compliance and our Legal Age Access Only Program is at the core of our business, and as a responsible online retailer, our priority is ensuring Nicokick and Northerner provide 21 and over consumers with responsible access to tobacco leaf-free alternatives to traditional tobacco products.
“We remain committed to doing so in full alignment with regulatory requirements and responsible retail practices.”
Haypp said the relaunch highlights the growing importance of online retail channels in the nicotine industry. Both Nicokick and Northerner offer over 200 smoke-free products from various brands, but Zyn has been particularly notable. In Q2 2024, Zyn made up 46% of total U.S. sales across both platforms, according to company data.
“These numbers point to a persistent shift in consumer behavior toward e-commerce and the role it plays in meeting the growing market interest among adults for smoke-free alternatives,” Grafström said.
The company emphasized that all online orders undergo technology-driven age verification to ensure purchases are restricted to customers aged 21 and over, in line with federal and state requirements.
Haypp Group, which started in Scandinavia and now operates in six countries across Europe and the U.S., has established itself as a leader in providing alternatives to combustible tobacco. Its lineup of 11 e-commerce brands serves over 1.1 million consumers worldwide.
Founded in 1998, Northerner.com has grown into one of the world’s largest online retailers of nicotine pouches. Nicokick.com, launched as a U.S.-based platform dedicated to smoke-free products, has become a leading retailer for adult consumers seeking tobacco leaf-free nicotine options.
Zyn’s return to online platforms coincides with increased scrutiny of nicotine pouches by U.S. regulators, as well as rapid growth in the category. Barclays Equity Research estimates that the global nicotine pouch market was worth approximately $8 billion in 2024 and is expected to surpass $100 billion by 2035, with the U.S. and Nordic countries driving much of the expansion.
