General Cigar Co. is reintroducing the Cohiba C8, its most exclusive non-Cuban Cohiba release, marking the first new addition to the line since its debut in 2021. The new version will be available next month as a 7 x 50 Churchill priced at $249.99 per cigar.

The original C8 debuted in 2021 as a 7 1/2 x 54 double corona sold in 10-count briefcases, retailing for $5,000. No new C8 releases have followed until now, positioning the return as one of the company’s top-tier offerings outside the annual Cohiba Spectre.

The 2024 C8 features a wrapper grown in Jalapa, Nicaragua, from the 2018 harvest, paired with a Connecticut broadleaf binder from 2021 and three fillers: Brazilian mata fina from 2022, a 2021 Estelí leaf, and a 2022 Jalapa leaf. Each cigar is individually packaged in a tube, with 16 cigars per box.

“C8 is about more than rarity, it’s about precision,” said Sean Williams, Cohiba brand ambassador, in a press release. “Every leaf and every detail were selected to create a cigar that captures Cohiba’s commitment to quiet mastery.”
