Haypp Group is restarting operations in Alabama, reopening direct-to-consumer nicotine pouch sales in the state as the company continues to expand its U.S. online retail footprint.

The company, parent of Nicokick and Northerner, said the move broadens access for verified adult nicotine consumers while reinforcing its compliance-focused retail strategy.

“Resuming operations in Alabama reflects our focus on responsible growth in markets where adult consumers can benefit from a compliant and reliable online retail channel,” said Gabriel De Prado, president of the U.S. market at Haypp Group. “As a category leader, we remain committed to strong compliance standards, robust age-verification controls, and responsible retail practices designed to support adult-only access.”

The company said the reopening enables it to directly serve adult consumers across Alabama, including areas where brick-and-mortar nicotine pouch availability may be limited.

Through Nicokick and Northerner, Haypp currently offers more than 300 nicotine pouch products from major and emerging brands. The announcement comes as nicotine pouches continue to rapidly expand across the U.S. market, with online retail increasingly becoming a key competitive channel alongside traditional convenience-store distribution.

Haypp emphasized that both platforms will operate in Alabama in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. The company also highlighted its age and ID-verification systems, which it said are designed to restrict purchases to adults 21 and older.

“Through these measures, Haypp Group supports a compliant and responsible online retail channel for adult nicotine consumers in Alabama,” the company said.

The move reflects the broader growth strategy Haypp has pursued in the U.S., where nicotine pouch demand continues to climb as consumers increasingly shift toward smoke-free oral nicotine products.
