What’s really inside the nicotine pouch? Haypp Group wants consumers — and regulators — to be able to look inside them.
The parent company of Nicokick.com and Northerner.com has relaunched NicoLeaks.com, its public database of independent nicotine pouch test results, featuring redesigned product pages, expanded information, and new tools for comparing products.
“We launched NicoLeaks five years ago because meaningful debate about nicotine pouches should be grounded in independent data people can inspect for themselves,” said Lindsay Reese, senior scientific content manager at Haypp Group. “The redesigned platform makes that information easier to find, compare and follow over time, while continuing NicoLeaks’ original purpose: bringing greater transparency to product composition and helping raise the standard of discussion across the category.”
NicoLeaks allows users to compare laboratory results by several categories. Individual entries also identify the source and date of the analysis, enabling users to track how products have tested over time.
Testing is conducted by Eurofins and includes nicotine content, pH, moisture, tobacco-specific nitrosamines, and trace metals. The laboratory reports are available free of charge through NicoLeaks.
There is an important distinction.
NicoLeaks tests what a product contains. It does not evaluate its health effects, and inclusion in the database does not mean a nicotine pouch is safe or risk-free.
The relaunch coincides with tobacco and nicotine researchers gathering in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the Tobacco Science Research Conference (TSRC).
Haypp’s Marina Murphy, senior director of scientific affairs, and Reese are scheduled to present “Compositional Profiling of Nicotine Pouches: Insights from 400+ Products Tested in 2025” on Sept. 21. The presentation draws on independent laboratory testing of more than 400 nicotine pouch products.
Haypp said it plans to continue expanding NicoLeaks by adding scientific articles, presentations, and other educational resources.
The company launched the database five years ago, as nicotine pouches were beginning to emerge as a larger international category. The relaunch brings considerably more product-level information together in one place as scrutiny of what is actually inside those pouches continues to grow.
