The 45th InterTabac and InterSupply trade fair, set for September 18–20 at Messe Dortmund, has unveiled its supporting program. The sessions will feature high-profile panels, masterclasses, and hybrid content.

Tobacco Europe is again hosting its hybrid session, “Eyes on Brussels”, slated for midday on Friday, September 19. The session features Secretary General Nathalie Darge and EU Affairs Expert Filip Haugland, offering live and online access to developments in EU regulation. The format was first introduced at EVO NXT in April.

The Global Institute for Novel Nicotine (GINN) will lead a pair of Thursday discussions. Dr. Nveed Chaudhary, Chair of the GINN Science & Standards Committee, will moderate a session on “Innovating the Oral Nicotine Segment: Product Development & Consumer Trends.”

A second panel, led by Robert Sidebottom, Chair of Regulatory & Compliance at GINN, will examine global regulatory challenges—covering TPD3, the Tobacco Excise Directive, and WHO FCTC COP11.

A specialized nicotine pouch masterclass features Jonas Lundqvist, CEO of the Nordic Nicotine Pouches Alliance (NNPA), who will explore evolving regulations and expansion strategies. Another highlight features Dr. Erika Grandolfo of Imperial Brands discussing the public-health implications of tobacco-free nicotine pouches compared to traditional snus.

Legal expert Pablo Cano Trilla from Tamarind Intelligence will present on “Market and Legal Risks and Opportunities for the Nicotine and Novel Tobacco Industries in the EU and Beyond.” Meanwhile, Joshua Habursky, PCA Executive Director, addresses impactful U.S. generational smoking bans, examining possible lessons for EU markets.

A Friday afternoon panel by Deutsche Tabakzeitung and Tobacco Journal International, led by editor-in-chief Marc Reisner, will showcase “Future of Nicotine Technologies: Breakthroughs in Smoke‑Free Innovation.”

Additionally, Dr. Stefanie Scheffler (Fraunhofer ITEM) will discuss advanced e‑liquid emission testing tools, Raphael Moreau (Euromonitor), will deliver data-driven insights into industry trends, legislative influence, and product evolution, and a panel organized by the European Confederation of Tobacco Retailers (CEDT), featuring president Peter Schweinschwaller.

Susanne Moosmayr-Schlager and Michael Moosmayr, managing directors for Moosmayr GmbH, called InterTabac more than just a trade show.

“It is a place for innovation, international networking and long-term partnerships. It not only offers a unique opportunity to present the latest products and innovations, but also to promote the exchange of information on current developments and challenges in the industry, they stated. “That’s why we’re looking forward to taking part again in the future.”

Demand is already strong. Organizers report over 800 exhibitors booked for the event, which last year drew an estimated 14,500 international visitors. Registration is now open via the show’s ticket store, available both online and on-site.
