The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has posted meeting materials in advance of a virtual Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC) meeting scheduled for Jan. 22, 2026, to discuss modified-risk tobacco product (MRTP) applications submitted by Swedish Match U.S.A., Inc., for 20 of its ZYN nicotine pouch products.
The regulatory agency stated that the posted materials, available on the agency’s 2026 TPSAC Meeting Materials and Information page, including a draft agenda, background documents from Swedish Match and the FDA, and draft questions for TPSAC.
The FDA established a separate public comment docket for the TPSAC meeting, Docket No. FDA-2025-N-0835-0020, with comments due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Jan. 21, 2026.
FDA also noted that comments on the underlying ZYN MRTP applications may be submitted through Docket No. FDA-2025-N-0835-0001, which the agency opened on June 18, 2025.
