Japan Tobacco International has named Olesja Flores as General Manager of Global Travel Retail.

Olesja Flores

Flores brings more than 25 years of experience at JTI and, most recently, served as General Manager of JTI Switzerland, a role she held for more than three and a half years. Her career has included senior commercial and leadership roles across Europe, including postings in Lucerne, Geneva, Copenhagen, and Vilnius.

She will be based in Dubai, leading a strategically important channel spanning airports, duty-free outlets, and border retail worldwide. Commenting on the move, Flores said Dubai offers “an innovation-driven, fast-paced environment,” calling it an ideal base for leading a business that operates at the crossroads of global travel and consumer trends, according to a press release.

Flores’s appointment places a seasoned internal executive at the helm of JTI’s travel retail operations as the company continues to navigate evolving consumer preferences and regulatory frameworks across international markets.
