Swiss premium cigar brand EGM Cigars has entered the German market through a new distribution partnership with CigarKings GmbH & Co. KG, expanding its European footprint in what the company calls a key strategic market.

Effective July 1, CigarKings became the exclusive distributor of EGM Cigars in Germany, with 11 Dominican-made cigar SKUs initially available to retailers. The company said all products comply with the European Union’s Track and Trace requirements, and additional SKUs are expected as the brand expands its portfolio.

“We’re delighted, and genuinely honored, to bring EGM Cigars into Germany with a partner as dedicated as CigarKings,” said Ettore Gabriele Moraschinelli, founder and CEO of EGM Cigars, in a press note. “Germany is the heart of the European cigar trade, and this is just the beginning of what we plan to build here together.”

Founded in 2021, EGM Cigars is headquartered in Switzerland, and its cigars are handcrafted in the Dominican Republic from premium Dominican tobacco. The company has positioned itself in the luxury premium cigar segment, emphasizing small-batch production and European-inspired branding.

Germany is one of the world’s largest premium cigar markets and a major distribution hub for Europe, making it a strategic expansion target for boutique and premium cigar manufacturers seeking broader regional access.

The partnership also underscores the ongoing importance of complying with the European Union’s Tobacco Products Directive, including its Track and Trace system, which requires tobacco products sold throughout the EU to carry unique identifiers that enable authorities to monitor products across the supply chain.

For EGM, the German launch builds on its broader European expansion strategy and provides access to one of the continent’s most established premium cigar retail networks. Further product introductions are expected in the coming months.
