Zyn is introducing something new.

Philip Morris International has begun rolling out ZYN MELTS in the United Kingdom, expanding the fast-growing Zyn brand beyond nicotine pouches with a fully dissolvable oral nicotine tablet.

The new products are now available on Zyn’s UK website and through specialist nicotine retailers. Zyn’s official UK site currently offers a free sample bundle with two 2 mg cans of ZYN MELTS, while Electric Tobacconist lists Cool Mint and Peppermint versions as new products.

Unlike a conventional nicotine pouch, which remains intact and must be removed after use, ZYN MELTS are designed to dissolve completely during use. Electric Tobacconist describes the product as a fully dissolvable nicotine tablet that leaves no pouch material to remove or discard. Its listings show 20 Melts per can in 1 mg and 2 mg nicotine strengths, with Cool Mint and Peppermint flavors priced at £6.50.

Haypp also has product pages for the line, describing ZYN MELTS as nicotine tablets or lozenges that contain either 1 mg or 2 mg of nicotine per piece. Its current listings identify PMI as the manufacturer and list 20 tablets per can.

PMI appears to have been preparing the product extension for several months.

Swedish Match North Europe AB filed a UK trademark application for ZYN MELTS on Feb. 11, claiming priority from two European Union applications filed the previous day. The UK filing covers nicotine-containing “lozenges and tablets” as well as nicotine pouches and other oral nicotine products.

Pinkerton Tobacco Co. LP, a PMI U.S. Zyn company, filed a separate U.S. application for ZYN MELTS on Feb. 27. The application also covers nicotine-containing lozenges, tablets, and nicotine pouches.

The U.S. trademark filing does not establish that PMI U.S. intends to sell ZYN MELTS in the United States, and Nicotine Insider found no evidence that the product is currently marketed there.
