Turning Point Brands is keeping its dividend unchanged as its nicotine pouch business continues to grow.
The Louisville, Kentucky-based company announced on November 2 that its board of directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.08 per common share, payable January 8, 2027, to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 18.
The dividend is an annualized payout of $0.32 per share, assuming the quarterly rate remains unchanged.
The announcement comes ahead of Turning Point Brands’ third-quarter earnings report, scheduled for November 9, and follows a period of significant growth in its modern oral nicotine business.
In the second quarter, the company reported modern oral gross revenue of $87 million, up 149% year over year. Modern oral net sales increased 128% to $68.4 million, accounting for 48% of total company net sales, compared with 26% a year earlier.
Total second-quarter net sales increased 22.6% to $142.9 million, but net income declined 75.2% to $3.6 million as the company increased spending on sales, marketing and distribution.
“We believe our investments in retail distribution, commercial capabilities and brand development are translating into stronger consumer adoption and expanding market access for both FRE and ALP,” former President and CEO Graham Purdy said when the company reported its second-quarter results in August. Purdy stepped down at the end of September.
Turning Point Brands subsequently raised its full-year modern oral net sales outlook to $260 million to $270 million, reflecting expectations of continued growth in its nicotine pouch portfolio.
The company markets the FRE and ALP nicotine pouch brands alongside its established Zig-Zag smoking accessories and Stoker’s smokeless tobacco. Its products are sold through more than 220,000 retail outlets across North America.
